The Midcounties Co-operative colleagues will be teaming up over the weekend to offer an array of treats, health advice and entertainment to visitors at the RAF Cosford Air Show on Sunday 12 June.

The community retailer, which is a main sponsor of the show for the fourth year running, will be giving out delicious Local Harvest cake samples and bottled water along with locally supplied Tyrell crisps as a savoury taster.

Midcounties mascots, Peter the Penguin and Cooper Bear, will also be there to entertain the children whilst parents can take advantage of free blood pressure checks and health advice on weight management and smoking from local pharmacists.

Furthermore, the recently launched Co-operative Energy, will have a team on hand to talk to visitors about their energy supply.

Ollie Moseley, event co-ordinator at The Midcounties Co-operative, said: “We’re very pleased to continue our involvement with this event. Supporting local events is very important to us to ensure we maintain our strong commitment to the community.

“Ticket sales are going really well so let’s hope that the weather holds up so everyone can enjoy what is set to be a fantastic event!”

John Francis, RAF Cosford Air Show organiser, said: “It’s great to have Midcounties on board with us again as a sponsor. They offer a great deal of support that is much appreciated in organising the event year on year.”

Numerous air displays are scheduled on Sunday including the Royal Air Force Red Arrows Acrobatic team. Thrills will also be available on the ground with a fun fair, static air displays, military exhibitions and much more on offer.

Advance tickets are available from The Midcounties Co-operative stores, priced at £19, and children under 16 are free.
