Caravan company supports Shrewsbury Girl Guides’ annual camp
Leading Shropshire caravan dealership Salop Leisure is supporting the annual summer camp run by the 5th Shrewsbury Girl Guides.

The company, based alongside Shrewsbury bypass at Emstrey, has donated gas piping for the camp, which is taking place in South Shropshire during August and chairman Tony Bywater praised the work of the Girl Guide movement.
“I think the Girl Guides and Scout movements play a very important part in the development of young people’s lives,” aid Mr Bywater. “We owe a great debt to the leaders and we are always happy to support them.”
5th Shrewsbury Girl Guides leader Sylvia Jones said regulations dictated that gas piping had to be replaced every three years and it was used only once a year at the annual camp.
A dozen Guides and four leaders will be going on this year’s camp, which will include horse riding and walking guided by a forest ranger.
“Salop Leisure has always been very good to us and we really appreciate their support,” said Mrs Jones. “The customer service from staff is excellent and it’s a great place for campers as well as caravanners to go.”
