A brand new day nursery is set to open just outside Shrewsbury later this summer and will provide dedicated care to children from across Shropshire and surrounding areas.

‘Fairy’ good nursery set to offer quality care in Shropshire

Launching on the 5th September 2011, Little Pixies Nursery is the brainchild of local friends Sarah Felkin and Debra Lovell. Situated in the village of Kinton near Nesscliffe, it offers a tranquil and rural environment for children of all ages from 12 weeks to pre-school.

Having already received OFSTED approval, the site is currently being developed to include three individual playrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen for the preparation of meals, and a large outdoor space for children to enjoy a wide range of activities. Also in progress is the creation of a dedicated area for the growing of vegetables, designed to educate youngsters about self-sufficiency and the provenance of food.

Sarah Felkin, co-owner of Little Pixies Nursery, commented: “As mums of small children ourselves we know that choosing a nursery is one of the most important decisions a parent will make. The team here has spent a great deal of time designing Little Pixies Nursery to ensure that it provides a nurturing environment that encourages children to explore new experiences and to develop as self-confident individuals.

“Having signed up to the Early Years Framework, we are committed to ensuring the development of all children through both creative and educational play, as well as promoting valuable opportunities for exploration and adventure in a safe and friendly environment. We are really excited about what the nursery can offer and look forward to welcoming our new arrivals.”

Little Pixies Nursery is scheduled to open its doors on September 3rd but has already announced an Open Weekend on August 13th and 14th to give local parents the opportunity to view the facilities and speak to key members of staff. “Everyone’s welcome” added Sarah “and we look forward to seeing lots of new faces at our open weekend.”

For further information about Little Pixies Nursery or to arrange a visit, please contact Sarah or Debra on 0845 468 9864, email info@littlepixiesnursery.co.uk, or visit www.littlepixiesnursery.co.uk.
