Shropshire caravan firm celebrates silver jubilee of Shrewsbury Flower Show sponsorship
A leading caravan dealership will be celebrating 25 years of sponsorship of Shrewsbury Flower Show next month.
Tony Bywater, chairman of Shrewsbury-based Salop Leisure, says the show is one of the most important annual exhibitions that the company attends throughout the year.
Recognised as the world’s longest running horticultural show, the event is being held on August 12 and 13 and is set to attract thousands of visitors to Shropshire’s county town.
“It’s a silver jubilee event for the company because it’s the 25th year in a row that we have had a stand at the flower show,” he said. “The show is one of the highlights of our calendar because it attracts quality people from all over the UK and has a tremendous following from Shropshire and Mid Wales people.
“The show always generates quality leads that turn into sales and provides a great opportunity for us to promote the very latest caravan holiday homes, touring caravans and motorhomes to a large audience.”
Salop Leisure’s stand will include the new Willerby Shrewsbury caravan holiday home, which has been exclusively designed by and form the company. Author and former award-winning Shrewsbury Chronicle editor John Butterworth will also be available on the stand to sign copies of his book about the history of Shrewsbury’s famous Lion Hotel.
In addition to headquarters alongside Shrewsbury bypass at Emstrey, the company has sales centres in Machynlleth and Stourport.
