Internet users can now access information about Harper Adams 'on the move' thanks to the launch of the new Harper Adams mobile website.

Harper Adams website goes mobile

With smartphones and other web-enabled devices constantly growing in popularity, there is an increase in demand for websites that can be viewed easily on mobile phones.

Using the principles of 'responsive' design, the site now supports all web-enabled devices, no matter how small the screen.

Web and New Media Manager, James Armstrong, said: "We have given a lot of thought to the layout and navigation and hope that visitors will find it easy to use.

"This development is one of a number of projects that have been recently completed by the Web and New Media Team."

Earlier this month, the team re-launched the University College website, which uses the new corporate branding and has been restructured to make finding relevant information easier.

It also boasts the addition of a Student Life section, featuring more student and graduate profiles to help convey the vibrant Harper Adams atmosphere to future applicants.

James added: "We are very pleased with the results, and have had some very positive feedback.

"The new homepage is cleaner, clearer and easier to navigate and with new content being added on a daily basis, the website highlights the huge amount of activity taking place at the University College."

James and his team are now focusing on the delivery of a smartphone application (app) to be used during open days in the autumn.

He added: "The app will include an interactive campus map, information about all of our facilities, as well as the programme for the open days.

"We will announce the launch of this as soon as it is available to download from the various app stores."

To access the mobile website, visit the usual address - www.harper-adams.ac.uk.
