Congratulations to Christina Elliott who has been named TCAT’s Work Based Learner of the Year. She was presented with her certificate at the college’s Celebration of Achievement Presentation Evening.

Christina who works as a scheme manager at The Wrekin Housing Trust joined the work based learning scheme at the Trust to brush up on her maths skills.

Tim Munro, HR Consultant at the Trust said: “We are absolutely delighted for Christina, who gained both skills and confidence on the Skills 4 Life programme.”

Christina said of her achievement: “It has been hard work but I have really enjoyed it, in September I will be working towards my level 2.”

Skills 4 Life sessions have been running at the Trust since May last year 2010. In total 28 employees have attended the scheme in the last year with currently 4 regular attendees which will increase in September when we have the new work placements programme running.
