Natasha’s heartfelt messages are the business

Stuck for a romantic gift? Natasha Nicholson thinks she may have come up with the perfect solution – a personalised message that’s straight from the heart.

Natasha’s heartfelt messages are the business

The 21-year-old from Shrewsbury was looking for something for the special man in her life and when she couldn’t find it she came up with her own idea.

Natasha, who works in fashionable shoe shop Shoon in the town’s Pride Hill Shopping Centre, produced a stylish canvas print with a romantic message and soon other members of her family were in the market for one of her personalised creations.

She said: “My boyfriend, William Fuller, was delighted with it, he loved it and it gave me the idea to do more and to make it into a business.

“I did art at A-level and have always been interested in the creative side of things – I studied piano in London and used to teach – and there seemed to be a gap in the market for something like this, something that’s special and personalised.

“People can come to me with an idea and I can work with it to produce a bespoke gift that’s unique and which can be hung up to remind them of their love.”

Natasha, who lives in Shrewsbury town centre, is now developing her idea into an on-line business using the etsy.com website and she added: “It can be so difficult to find something which is exactly what you want and which is that bit different and personal to you.

“That’s why I cam up with this idea. People can just send me a list of what they want to say, it could be a message starting with each letter of the alphabet or with the first letter of each line spelling out a name.

“Then I develop it into something unique and special for them using different fonts, images and colours.”

Shoon manager Carol Croft said: “We were all very impressed. Natasha is very talented and it really is a lovely idea for a gift with a difference.”

Nicholas Pitt, Centre Director of the Darwin, Pride Hill and Riverside Shopping Centres, said: “I’m always amazed at the varied talents of the people we have working here.

“Natasha has come up with a lovely idea for a gift with a difference and I’m sure it will prove very popular. I have seen some of the examples of her work and they’re lovely.”
