Award winning caravan dealership Salop Leisure is promoting the benefits of caravan holiday home ownership by attending a series of summer events.

The company, which has sales centres in Shrewsbury, Machynlleth and Stourport, will have caravans on display at Merioneth County Show in Bala on August 24, at Neptune Hall Caravan Park, Tywyn, Tywyn on August 26-29 and at Shrewsbury Steam Engine and Vintage Vehicle Rally, Onslow Park, Shrewsbury on August 28 and 29.

Following a busy summer, focus then turns to the West Midlands Caravan and Motorhome Show at Salop Leisure’s Shrewsbury headquarters from September 30 to October 9, where new models for 2012 will be launched.

It will be the first time that Salop Leisure has exhibited at at Shrewsbury Steam Engine and Vintage Vehicle Rally, which attracts around 15,000 visitors over two days.

Salop Leisure’s marketing manager Scott Higgins said many of the people attending the event were touring caravan and motorhome owners.

“The main reason why we attend so many summer shows across Mid Wales and Shropshire is to give people an opportunity to see the latest caravan and motorhome models at their leisure and hopefully attract new customers,” he added.

“Many people are unaware of the major advances that have been made in touring and static caravans and motorhomes.”

He revealed that the company’s display of caravans at Shrewsbury Flower Show last weekend had generated several promising sales leads and park visits.

“This is one of the busiest times of the year for the company, with thousands of people travelling from the Midlands and North West England to enjoy a summer break in Mid Wales.

Mid Wales has one of best selections of luxury holiday home parks, located both at the seaside and inland in areas of breathtaking natural beauty. The unspoilt region boasts some of the best five star parks in Europe.

Further information on the shows can be obtained from Salop Leisure in Shrewsbury on 01743 282400 or the company’s Machynlleth base on 01654 705900.
