Shropshire company supports Remember a Charity week
A Shropshire law firm is calling on people across Shropshire to ‘Remember a Charity’ and have their Will drawn up free of charge.

Severn Hospice has revealed 46 people from across the region donated more than £1 million through legacies last year.
The charity is highlighting the importance of legacies to its survival as part of the national Remember a Charity Week campaign.
And County solicitors Linder Myers, who are supporting the hospice as their 2011 charity, are hoping to help increase donations to the centre with their ‘Free Wills’ service.
The service is available to staff and supporters of Severn Hospice and their families.
Regional partner at Linder Myers Bill Jarvis said: “We will prepare a basic Will and waive our charge for providing this service.
“As Linder Myers is waiving any fee normally due for the preparation of a basic Will we would hope that people taking up the service would consider donating the money they have saved to Severn Hospice.”
Severn Hospice is an independent charity, which provides end of life care to patients and their families from across Shropshire and Mid Wales.
Gifts in Wills are a vital source of income for Severn Hospice, making up around one-third of the total money it has to raise every year to fund its services.
Legacies helped fund treatment and support for 20 per cent of the patients cared for by Severn Hospice last year.
Norma Ross, Severn Hospice appeals director, said: “Remember a Charity Week not only provides a focus for us to raise awareness about legacies, it also gives an opportunity to reflect on the kindness of those who have left a bequest and all that their generosity has helped us achieve.”
Remember a Charity Week, which runs from Monday (SEPT 12) until Sunday (SEPT 18), was set up to encourage more people to leave a gift to charity in their will once they have looked after their loved ones.
