A Shropshire social club’s new football team has been kitted out in new tracksuits after receiving sponsorship from a specialist driver training company.

TTC Group donation helps kit out local football team

The 14 members of Donnington Community Sports and Social FC bought the new kit after an £800 donation from the TTC Group, of Hadley Park East, Telford, which puts on a variety of specialist driver training courses to reduce the number of road crash victims across the UK.

Team member Jon Robertson, who works as a team leader at the Telford company’s head office, said the all blue tracksuits would help to give the new club a team identity.

“We’ve just formed as a football club this year and joined the Telford Combination League and we play at the Sutherland School’s sports ground. I asked the TTC Group directors if they could help us and they didn’t hesitate. The new kit will keep us warm during the winter months.”

Des Morrison, manager at the TTC Group, said: “As a company we sponsor AFC Telford and we are all very supportive of our local football clubs. We wish Donnington Community Sports Club well in the coming season.”

Based at Hadley Park, Telford, the TTC Group runs the National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme - an educational alternative to prosecution for some road traffic offences. They also run speed awareness courses and are the UK’s largest provider of courses for convicted drink drivers. They also teach professional HGV drivers and company car and van drivers to ensure they comply with driver CPC legislation.
