Shropshire based media start-up company, Surface Rush, is this week celebrating it's latest music video reaching an impressive 15,000 views online.

Club of Rome, filmed for indie-rock band The Cads entered the YouTube Daily Top 100 Views Chart upon release and went on to be broadcast across European television channels.

Surface Rush's Creative Director, Ben King, said “It was an immense pleasure working with The Cads. They have toured with some great acts and were recently interviewed on BBC Radio 1 regarding the song. We were very flattered when they said they wanted to work with us”.

The high-definition video was filmed over a three-day period and combines the band playing in the Shropshire countryside with a still-image montage.

“We ended up taking over 4000 still images that were then all individually edited and coloured. It was a lot of hard work but we are really pleased with the reaction from everyone”.

This is not the first achievement for the newly formed media company, set up by two university students from the county. Earlier this year, the company had it's video for the Shrewsbury Flower Show broadcast on ITV.

Regarding the companies recent successes, Surface Rush's Lead Developer, Chris King, said “I think people are liking our creative approach. Commercial video doesn't have to feature cheesy text effects and glaring colour filters to look good, and with the growing importance of video content online, there has never been a better time to create a video that stands out from the crowd.”

As well as working on other video projects, Surface Rush is currently developing mobile phone applications for the iPhone, BlackBerry and other smartphones, to be launched later this year.
