Shropshire marketing company Yarrington scooped the Silver award for Best Direct Marketing Campaign at this week’s prestigious MIMA marketing awards.

Shropshire Direct Mail experts win top national prize

Yarrington’s award winning campaign is entitled ‘Memorable Events’. This powerful campaign builds relationships and engagement with clients and prospective clients by celebrating specific dates. These include National Toffee Day, World Smile Day, National Liquorice day and many more.

The campaign, which will run for the whole of 2011 is already showing a great return on inv estment. Starting back in December 2010 with a calendar, the campaign then followed with monthly mailings which include a quirky and memorable gift alongside a business message.

The judges we reparticularly impressed with the simplicity of the campaign that really builds throughout the year and makes it easy to keep in touch with clients during what has been a difficult time for the events industry.

Lesley Allsop, Director, accepted the award at the ceremony in London earlier this week. ‘The competition was fierce for this award, we were up against some big London agencies which makes it is especially pleasing to be rewarded for our creativity, design and marketing expertise.

The awards evening was held at the Park Plaza Riverbank in London on the evening of Monday 17th October.
