A Designer Day for prospective brides is being staged in Bridgnorth this weekend, hosted by Ebenezers Floral & Bridal Design of Railway Street, in the town.

The event takes place from 10am until 4pm on Saturday and will feature bridal dresses and ball gowns from designers including Jade Daniels, Calista and Alfred Sung, which will be modelled by local girls Kathryn Holloway and Annabel Fullerton.

A wide range of bridesmaid dresses of all sizes will also be on show from New York designer JLM Couture.

Wedding co-ordinator for Ebenezers, Chelsea Owen said: “The day is to celebrate the launch of our new bridal department, opened above the premises of our long standing floristry business in Bridgnorth.

“As we are the only bridal shop in the town we are expecting a great deal of interest and will have replica dresses of those worn by both Royal bride Kate Middleton, and her sister Pippa as bridesmaid, on display.”

Chelsea, aged 19, from Much Wenlock, is pictured preparing for the event, wearing an outfit suitable as either a bridal dress or ball gown, featuring Peacock feathers, diamonds and lace, created by designer Grace Harrington.
