Shropshire agent celebrates evolutionary journey
A Shropshire firm of leading property specialists is celebrating its 180th year in business this month, having launched just a month before Charles Darwin embarked on his momentous voyage aboard the HMS Beagle.
Shropshire-based Nock Deighton began life in 1831 as an agricultural auctioneer and over almost two centuries has grown its operation to become the longest established firm of its type in Shropshire.
From its humble beginnings in Bridgnorth’s High Street, the company has developed into a multi-faceted business employing 45 staff across five offices, with its new generation of management driving forward a fresh and innovative approach.
The team is leading the way in the world of property and has embraced up-to-the-minute technology ensuring that customers are engaged with in a way that suits their modern-day lifestyles. Having recently launched a dedicated iPhone App enabling potential buyers or renters to search for suitable properties using their mobile phones, and with regular communication via Twitter and Facebook, the firm has been able to maintain its reputation as a truly customer-focused agency.
Michael Nettleton, Director of Nock Deighton, said: “We have come a long way since we first opened our doors back in 1831, and have grown as a business not only in terms of our breadth of services, but in terms of how we actually do business. Client requirements and demand from the industry as a whole has necessitated a forward thinking approach and we have taken on this challenge whole-heartedly.
“There are very few estate agents in the county that offer the high-tech, interactive service that we as a firm provide and we like to think that this, alongside our unwavering commitment to achieving the very best results for our clients, is what sets us aside from our competition. We are absolutely delighted to be celebrating this fantastic milestone and we’d like to thank all of our customers, both old and new, for their loyalty – here’s to the next 180 years!”
