On Tuesday 6th December 2011, funding experts from across the country will descend on Shrewsbury for the Shropshire Infrastructure Partnership's annual funding event 'Sustain & Survive: New Approaches to Funding'.

Organised by the Community Council of Shropshire and partner organisations in the Shropshire Infrastructure Partnership, the funding fair has been designed to provide local voluntary organisations, community groups and social enterprises with the latest information about sustainable funding for their work.

The funding fair will take place from 9:15am to 1:45pm on 6th December at Shrewsbury Town Football Club, Greenhous Meadow.

Speakers include:

- Office for Civil Society - Helga Edstrom, Regional Officer
- National Council for Voluntary Organisations - Fiona Sheil, Public Service Delivery Network officer
- NAVCA - John Dawson, Local Commissioning and Procurement Advisor
- Directory of Social Change - Layla, Moosavi and Ruben Kostucki
- Anthony Collins Solicitors - David Alcock, Senior Associate
- KC Change Consultants - Nigel Kippax

Funding from the Big Lottery Fund has enabled the partnership to heavily subsidise the cost of the event. A bursary scheme is in operation to provide one free place for voluntary and community groups with an annual income of less than £30,000. For other organisations, the cost is:

£20 - voluntary and community groups
£40 - statutory bodies and organisations outside of Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin

For more information about the funding fair or to book, visit the partnership's website - www.shropshirevcs.org.uk/Funding or contact Lisa Darkin on 01743 342177.
