Capgemini donates 15 Laptops to Coverage Care
Capgemini has a long tradition of engaging with the communities in which it is based and actively encourages all its employees to become involved in the communities where they live and work.

As part of its ‘Kit in the Community’ project, groups were invited to apply for laptops and Coverage Care was successful in its application.
The laptops will be put to good use with the residents at Coverage Care’s Homes now being able to get online, surf the internet, SKYPE their relatives or even use it to write a novel.
Grace Dyke Business Development Officer for Coverage Care said:
“This is a great initiative from Capgemini, we are really grateful to them and look forward to our residents getting connected.”
David Coull Chief Executive of Coverage Care added:
“Being able to use the internet allows people to keep in touch with their friends and relatives and also to continue to pursue their interests but in a different more accessible way. The laptops are perfect for those with mobility challenges as the laptops can be brought to them.”
Dean Smith, Communications Manager for Capgemini, explained the ‘Kit in the Community’ initiative: “Capgemini employees in Telford were invited to apply for free, reconditioned IT equipment for local charity, community groups or voluntary organisations of their choice.
“The response has been exceptional and we have so far given away 250 computers to 100 local organisations and charities, from Scout groups to the Samaritans.
“We’re thrilled to provide Coverage Care with laptops and hope the residents get great use out of them.”
