Shrewsbury Timpson holds key to fundraising

Timpson Manager, Jody Harris, and colleagues, Darren Burns, Ashley Curtis and Kieran Jenks, plan a host of treats for youngsters including guest appearances in-store from cartoon characters Tigger and Sonic the Hedgehog, who will be giving away balloons, sweets and playing games.

For over 18’s there is a raffle with the chance to win a superb hamper. Prizes include Champagne, wine, whiskey, chocolates and biscuits as well as engraveable gifts including a Parker pen and a Swarovski crystal lighter. The hamper also includes vouchers worth £50 from Timpson and a £15 voucher donated by Sainsbury’s.

Shrewsbury cake maker, Kelly Bilton of Cake Creators, is donating cupcakes, which will be available every day in the foyer in return for a donation to After Adoption.

Jody Harris says: “We’ll be having loads of fun. Hopefully we can raise awareness of the great work After Adoption does in finding families for children and then helping them settle into a stable and happy home life. Timpson has already raised over £200,000 for the charity and we really wanted to do our bit here in Shropshire towards the ultimate £5m target.

“The support given to us by Sainsbury’s and Cake Creators has been fantastic. We’re all looking forward to having some fun with our customers and bouncing about all week with Tigger and Sonic.”
