A Shropshire-based Qualification Centre is helping staff to improve their presentation and training skills with a two-day accredited course.

Qualification Centre offers accredited “Train the Trainer” Development Programme

Always Consult runs a “Train the Trainer” programme, endorsed by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM). The course sets out to improve staff confidence when standing up in front of a room of delegates. It equips trainers with hints and tips to run successful training sessions.

Managing Director, Carol Ewels said: “We’ve had some great feedback so far about “Train the Trainer. We designed the course to be fun and interactive where trainers can practice their skills in a non-threatening environment.” She continued: “We cover everything from legislation to learning styles, boundaries, session-planning, communication, how to deal with difficult situations and evaluation. It’s an action-packed two days that culminates in participants demonstrating their skills with a fifteen-minute micro training session!”

Adrian Pitt from Develop-meant Training Consultants took part in the course. Adrian said: “I’ve been a trainer for many years, however, there’s always a risk of becoming complacent. “Train the Trainer” made me reflect on my skills and rubber-stamped the fact that I know what I’m doing!” Julie Bourret from First Life Training Limited was also a participant, she said: “I really enjoyed myself. It was a great course! Thanks to the trainers for their input.”

Staff who attend Always Consult’s course are given the opportunity to have their hard work accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management. Carol explained: “For those people who are serious about their business, we want to offer something that gives them kudos and credibility in the marketplace. The ILM certificate is the icing on the cake and demonstrates to clients that their skills have been endorsed by a nationally-recognised training programme.

The “Train the Trainer” programme has proved to be so successful that Always Consult is running it on a regular basis. Carol said: “We look forward to meeting more budding trainers and presenters on our next course in March!”
