Shropshire architects' promise no suprises with fixed fee service
A local architectural firm is urging homeowners looking to undertake building work this year to take advantage of its fixed-fee service and eliminate the uncertainty related to more traditional payment terms.
Welshpool and Newtown-based Hughes Architects is committed to offering its clients a fixed price for all design projects, whether an extension or renovation of an existing property or the complete construction of a new-build, ensuring that customers know exactly how much a project will cost right from the outset.
Doug Hughes, Managing Director of Hughes Architects, explained: “As part of our commitment to providing local people with the best possible service, we operate a transparent and predetermined charging structure enabling individuals to accurately budget before any work has begun. This is unique in the industry, as many other firms offer contracts based on a percentage of the total project cost, which is often unknown until all work is complete, and it’s too late.
“Cost is ever-more a priority, particularly in these cash-strapped times, and customers need to know just how much they’re committed to paying upfront. The last thing people want is a nasty surprise when the final invoice arrives, but this is so often the case with many construction projects.
“Our pricing guarantee incorporates all design work carried out, including any alterations to drawings that may be required to obtain planning, and is determined following an in-depth consultation with the client at the start of the project. We would ask anyone within the county and further afield thinking about undertaking a project this year to get in touch with us for a free, no-obligation chat to find out more.”
