North Shropshire hotel lends support to unusual appeal
A north Shropshire hotel is lending its support to an unusual county charity appeal.

Guests, staff and visitors of the Old Rectory Hotel in Wem are being asked to donate unwanted bra’s, with a pound coin placed in each cup, to raise money towards Breast Cancer Care, and men are also being encouraged to donate their unwanted briefs containing a two pound coin.
The fundraising appeal is being hosted by a local radio station and hotel assistant manager Claire Edwards said: “Over 50,000 people a year are diagnosed with breast cancer, including men, and we are thereby delighted to be offering our support to this cause and help to raise awareness of this dreadful disease.
“Breast Cancer Care helps to bring people together, provides information and support and campaigns for improved standards of care.
“The response from staff and visitors has been wonderful and we now have a splendid collection of bra’s, together with coins, to donate to the appeal.”
