Marches young enterprise project a flaming success
Nine Year 10 students from The Marches School have developed their own product and business model as part of Young Enterprise.

Young Enterprise is the UK's largest business and enterprise education charity. Every year they help 250,000 young people learn about business and the world of work in the classroom under the guidance of volunteers from 3,500 companies.
Selling Swedish Candles, the team named their company ‘SweCo Fire’. Their product makes the perfect, affordable mini-patio heater and the product range has now been extended to include tea lights in tin can holders and incense sticks.
The group have recently been attending weekend trade fairs across the county to market their product, with the final event taking place in March. At the most recent trade fair, the group were delighted to be interviewed by Paul Shuttleworth from BBC Radio Shropshire.
The interview was aired on the Paul Shuttleworth Radio Shropshire Show on Sunday 5th February 2012.
Will Harris, Young Enterprise Coordinator at the school commented “there seems to be a lot of interest in their idea and their stall is always very popular”.
