Shropshire-based company offers business start-up workshops
Are you toying with the idea of being your own boss? Maybe you’re ready to take those first few tentative steps into the world of self-employment? Shrewsbury-based company, Always Consult, is on hand to guide you with a series of workshops to ensure you’re on the right track.
"Be Your Own Boss” starts with a two-hour awareness-raising “taster” workshop, followed by a series of five three-hour sessions covering all you need to know about
running a business. Always Consult Managing Director, Carol Ewels said: “We’ve met many people over the last twelve months who are keen to become self-employed.
Many of them don’t know who to turn to first for support.” She continued: “The internet is useful, but it can be a minefield. We’re here to offer quality, in-depth face-to-face advice and guidance. The members of my team are accredited Business Advisers and run their own businesses, too. Our course delegates will definitely get a true
picture of what it’s like to be the boss!”
The workshops cover everything from legislation and accounting, tax and National Insurance, PR and marketing, business strategy and planning to tackling Social Media. Carol said: “We’re offering a one-stop-shop package where resources are easily accessible. We understand how difficult it can be when you first ‘go it alone’ to find information and people that you can trust. We won’t be bombarding delegates either. The beauty of what we do is our training delivery is broken down into bite-sized chunks.”
Delegates have the choice of attending a “taster” workshop either on Monday 20th February at The Roy Fletcher Centre in Shrewsbury, 6.30pm to 8.30pm, or Thursday 1st March, 9.30am to 11.30am, again at the same venue.
