A Shrewsbury skin clinic has given itself a pat on the back after treatments and equipment it uses won gold in four categories at the 2011/12 Aesthetic Industry Awards.

Wendy Hartwig, Nurse Prescriber at The Skin Clinic based at The Dental Spa on Oxon Business Park, said: “We have always prided ourselves for being at the cutting edge of our industry and this is proof.”

“Gold awards were made to the Soprano Pain Free Laser Hair Removal system we use, and to Dermaroller™ Therapy™ which also picked up the Consumer Choice Gold Award. Equipment Brand of The Year gold went to ABC Lasers, of which we have two.”

The Skin Clinic at The Dental Spa began offering Dermaroller therapy in 2010, due to its notable safety profile. The therapy is used to improve the appearance of acne scars, pigmentation, lines and wrinkles, sun damage and stretch marks. The clinic uses ABC’s Soprano and Harmony lasers.
