Shropshire’s TTC Group receives recognition for its excellence in business
Shropshire’s TTC Group based in Telford has received recognition for its excellence in business.

Olympic rowing gold medallist Steve Williams presented The Investors in Excellence Standard - an internationally recognised mark of quality and success -to TTC Group Operations Director Des Morrison at a gala ceremony in Birmingham.
The driver training organisation, from Hadley Park East, Telford, collected their plaque in front of 500 business leaders who gathered at the Great Hall, University of Birmingham.
Midlands Excellence chief executive Ian Nield said: “Being recognised as an Investor in Excellence is a fantastic achievement and it’s a huge privilege to recognise such a wide range of inspirational organisations, all of which are seeing a fantastic return on their investment in excellence."
TTC 2000, part of the TTC Group, is a not for profit organisation which educates thousands of UK drivers each year to help reduce road deaths and injuries in a joint initiative with police and local Government. Profits from the driver training schemes are channelled into road safety initiatives and community projects.
Established in the early 1990’s, the firm is now the UK’s leading provider of driver retraining.
“It was a real honour to receive certification and it was tough to meet the rigorous requirements of the Investors in Excellence Standard. But we are committed to providing the best driver education courses in the UK as improved driving standards reduces the numbers of people who die every year on our roads as a result of a vehicle crash,” said Mr Morrison.
Professional instructors deliver on the road and classroom training to car drivers nationwide and put thousands of drivers each year through courses when they fall foul of the law by drink driving, speeding and careless driving.
Through TTC Automotive, part of the TTC Group, they also run specialist training courses for industry especially for owners of fleet cars and vehicles with the aim of reducing business costs for companies by cutting road crashes through improved road safety skills for employees. TTC Automotive also put HGV and other professional drivers through courses to meet the Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) legal requirements.
