Setting up a new business can be daunting, and, if you are considering trading online or setting up a website in connection with your business, there are essential legal aspects to consider for this marketplace.

Lanyon Bowdler to host free Legal Aspects of Online Business Seminar

With any business venture, there are legal obligations attached to selling goods and services, and it is important that business owners are aware of associated legal requirements and potential pitfalls.

Following on from an extremely popular and well attended presentation by associate solicitor Ruth James at the 2011 Shropshire E-Commerce Expo, local law firm Lanyon Bowdler will be holding a free 'Legal Aspects of Online Business' seminar on Thursday 26 April 2012.

Associate solicitor Ruth James, from the firm’s corporate and commercial department will be taking a look at some of the legal issues connected with online business - giving business owners an introduction to the issues they need to be considering.

In addition, partner and head of dispute resolution, Brian Evans, will be covering issues relating to copyright and defamation.

The seminar will be held at the Shropshire Food Enterprise Centre on Battlefield Enterprise Park in Shrewsbury. The event will start at 9am for registration and networking, with the first presentation commencing at 9.30am. The presentations will conclude at 10.45am.

It is anticipated that places will fill quickly for this event, so early booking is recommended. To book a free place, contact Rachel Donaghey at rachel.donaghey@lblaw.co.uk or telephone 01952 224047.
