A local employment agency is offering a helping hand to Shropshire firms aiming to expand their teams, with the launch of a free guide outlining the dos and don’ts of successful recruiting.

Free guide offers handy hiring hints to Shropshire companies

With more and more businesses across the county experiencing first-hand the green shoots of economic recovery, Shrewsbury-based Red Recruitment has put together a series of top tips on how to hire new staff which is available to download at its www.redrecruitmentsolutions.co.uk website.

“It’s been quite clear over the past few months that there’s a real groundswell of optimism amongst the Shropshire business community, with many firms looking to expand into larger premises or take on additional staff,” Meg Jones, Director at Red Recruitment, commented. “However, for many companies, especially smaller ones or new ventures, it’s not yet feasible to bring in expert recruitment consultants such as ourselves to help manage the process. Hiring additional staff is a huge commitment for any company, and it’s vital they make the right choice and bring in the best person to enable their business to grow. That’s why we’ve decided to share some of our vast experience to help business owners along the way.”

The guide, which can be downloaded in user-friendly PDF format, covers a range of top tips, such as how to use a company website as a recruiting tool and what to include in a job specification. It also outlines how to narrow down initial applicants, and offers some handy hints for carrying out interviews.

“Anyone interested in reading through the hints and tips can download the document in just a couple of clicks at our www.redrecruitmentsolutions.co.uk website, or they can email us on mail@redrecruitmentsolutions.co.uk to request a copy,” Meg concluded.
