Shropshire businessmen and women are being offered the chance to build new contacts or perhaps strike a new deal while enjoying one of the UK’s best golfing venues.

Shropshire businesses invited to tee off with each other

Hill Valley Spa, Hotel and Golf will provide the perfect setting for business associates when it hosts a Shropshire Chamber of Commerce Corporate Golf Day at its Emerald Course on Friday, May 18.

The venue, part of the prestigious Macdonald Hotels & Resorts Group, boasts two 18-hole courses, designed by TV golfing starts Peter Alliss and Dave Thomas in 1975.

It has been voted one of the top 10 golfing venues in the UK.

Terence Southward, General Manager of Hill Valley Spa, Hotel and Golf in Whitchurch, said: “We are hoping that this event will help businesses establish new relationships.

“Often some of the best business deals are made on the golf course and we are hoping we can encourage that by hosting a corporate day.

“There will be plenty of prizes on offer for teams and the chance to experience our fantastic course and other facilities here at Hill Valley.”

Prizes will be awarded for the longest drive, nearest the pin, worst scoring team, two runners-up and the winning team.

The event is open to Chamber of Commerce members, with prices starting from £40 per person, including registrations fees, bacon rolls and a private dinner in the Shropshire Suite.

Membership packages at Hill Valley Spa, Hotel and Golf offer access to club competitions, priority booking and discounted buggy hire rates, as well as 10 per cent discount in the Golf Shop and special member rates for golf breaks at Macdonald Hotels.
