Record spring sales of touring caravans at Shropshire dealership

Sales of touring caravans and motorhomes at a leading Shropshire dealership during March and April are 20 per cent up on the same period last year, it has been revealed.

Salop Leisure, which has sales centres at Shrewsbury, Machynlleth and Stourport, is attracting so many first time buyers this spring that the company is keen to add to its stock of pre-owned touring caravans and motorhomes to meet demand.

The company has launched an advertising campaign to attract existing owners who are being offered incentives to part-exchange their touring caravans and motorhomes for newer models.

“We are looking to add to our selection of pre-owned tourers and motorhomes due to record sales over the past two months,” said sales manager Nick Jackson. “Because we have had so many first time buyers, our usual supply of part exchange models hasn’t been sufficient to meet the high demand.

“There has never been a better time for owners to upgrade their touring caravan or motorhome and we are offering a free quotation.”

The company has reported a big increase in the number of young families buying touring caravans and motorhomes this year and customers are being attracted from a much wider area due to the company’s successful online marketing campaign.

“There is no question that more people are planning to spend their holidays in the UK this year and many of them are investing in touring and static caravans and motorhomes, which give them the freedom to enjoy breaks whenever they wish,” added Mr Jackson.
