A new beauty salon which is the first in Shrewsbury to offer a sparkling service made famous by ‘The only way is Essex’ has launched.

New Shrewsbury salon opens with a sparkle

The Powder Room has opened at the Wysteria Lane boutique in Dogpole and has ‘vajazzling’ on its pampering menu, as well as other treatments such as eyelash extensions and nail enhancements.

The art of decorating intimate parts of the body with crystals is regularly featured on TOWIE but has so far not reached Shrewsbury.

Now salon owner Sara Hadley, who is trained as a masseur and beauty therapist, has decided the time was right to bring some body bling into Shropshire.

She said: “I offer a full range of beauty services at The Powder Room but wanted to provide something a little bit different and there is definitely a demand - I have already had ladies book in.

“These crystal designs are gorgeous and really make people feel special…they are great for wearing all over your body, and not just on delicate places, and have become a must-have accessory.

“The crystal tattoos are completely safe, non-allergenic and harmless to the skin and last up to five days and we can create beautiful bespoke designs.”

Michellle Jamie, who owns Wysteria Lane, said she thought it was great that a new business was opening in Shrewsbury.

“I think The Powder Room will be a huge success and I am proud that we are helping to launch a new enterprise, and this new sparkling service, which will bring a little more glamour to our gorgeous town,” she commented.
