New Shrewsbury-based property agency launches
Two Shropshire property experts are bucking the trend by launching a new firm, based in the county town.

Chartered surveyors James Evans and Julian Spencer have joined forces to create a commercial property agency, Spencer Evans, which will have its head office in Mardol, Shrewsbury.
The two businessmen, who worked together 14 years ago, intend to build on their combined experience of almost four decades in the commercial property sector.
James, who is also a registered valuer and formerly head of the commercial property division of Samuel Wood, commented: “We are creating an innovative commercial property practice offering agency and professional services to corporate and individual clients throughout the West Midlands, Shropshire and mid and north Wales.”
The practice will also have bases in Telford, Aberystwyth, Aberdovey, Newcastle under Lyme and an associated office in Birmingham.
Julian, who established Julian Spencer and Company in 1989 and is immediate past chairman of the national practice Allied Surveyors Commercial, said that he was delighted to be working with James once again and that they would be assisted with fellow chartered surveyor Neville Roberts and a team of experienced support staff.
“This is a very exciting time for us and for the new business. Our aim is to build the firm into one of the leading commercial property agencies in the region,” he said.
He explained that Spencer Evans would also specialise in professional advice on property investment and development, as well as building surveying services.
In addition, the firm has opened a dedicated management division dealing in commercial property management and a residential letting department, headed by Janet Williams, who has a wealth of experience in the sector.
It is a member practice of Allied Surveyors and Valuers Limited, Allied Surveyors Commercial Limited and Circle Property Consultants.
