A Shropshire law firm welcomed dozens of colleagues and clients from the county business world to mark the move into new offices in the heart of Shrewsbury.

Shropshire business community marks move for county law firm

Linder Myers has a new home at Talbot House, Shrewsbury, which sits on the corner of Market Street and Swan Hill.

The building dates back to the 18th century but has been transformed into prestigious and enhanced office space for the firm’s solicitors working out of the growing Shrewsbury office.

And to mark the move solicitors and partners at the office hosted two open evenings to show clients and businesses the result of the refurbishment – the creation of a large reception area, offices, conference room and private meeting rooms for clients to enjoy.

The company moved from their two former premises in Irelands Mansion, in Shrewsbury High Street, and at 4 Claremont Bank. As the business continued to grow and expand, improved accommodation and significant room was needed to support the firm’s growth.

Bill Jarvis, managing partner for the Shropshire region, said: ““Having canvassed the opinion of clients, professional contacts and colleagues, it was felt to be beneficial to the practice to remain in the centre of Shrewsbury.

“The offices are spectacular and working in the town centre gives us an opportunity to support and maintain the stability and infrastructure of the town centre.

“The initial move was to accommodate expansion and, having now merged with the well-known local legal practice of Turnbull Garrard, the superb accommodation that we have available will allow for staff within Turnbull Garrard to move over and join us at Talbot House.

“The office has a feeling of professionalism and vitality which is in keeping with the image that we are keen to portray and the whole firm is absolutely delighted at our new offices. They not only allow us to fully accommodate our colleagues at Turnbull Garrard, but to pursue further expansion in the future. “And added to that is the opportunity of working in the wonderful surroundings of Shrewsbury which provides us all with a terrific working environment.”

Linder Myers was founded in 1922 and provides legal services on a local, national and international level.
