A group of local businesses is joining together in a quest to find Telford’s Brainiest Business at a special quiz night in aid of the Midlands Air Ambulance.

Telford Business Partnership, Shropshire Chamber of Commerce, Gilbert and Co Chartered Accountants and The Shropshire Golf Centre are hosting the inaugural event at The Shropshire in Muxton on Thursday 19th July from 6pm and are inviting local businesses to come along and show off their skills.

The evening is set to commence with networking opportunities before the main event kicks off at 7pm, where teams of four will battle it out to become crowned the brainiest business in Telford. Refreshments will be available on the night and the event will close with a special charity raffle. Entry is £10 per person or £40 per team.

Jaclyn Kitson, Business Network Coordinator at Telford & Wrekin Council, said: “This is set to be a thoroughly enjoyable evening and one that will not only bring local businesses together in an informal and relaxed setting, but which will help to raise much needed funds for a really worthy cause.

“The Midlands Air Ambulance is a wonderful organisation and one which plays a huge part in the lives of many individuals and families across the region. As an official charity, it receives no Government or National Lottery funding but relies solely on public donations for the £6 million that is needed each year to keep its three Air Ambulances operational. A single flight suit costs £300 and we aim to raise enough money on the night to buy three!”

“We welcome entries from businesses and individuals across the county and very much look forward to seeing everyone there on the night.”

For further information or to register your place at the event, please contact Jaclyn Kitson on 01952 567578 or email tbp@telford.gov.uk.
