Former Olympian champion to visit Telford Business Club
A former Olympian and World Championship medalist will be entertaining members of Telford Business Club next month to celebrate the Olympic Games.

Ainsley Bennett represented Great Britain at the 1976 Olympic Games held in Montreal where he reached the semi-finals of the men's 200m sprint race, as well as being one of the men's 4 x 400m relay team.
The meeting will be held on July 11 at The Shropshire in Muxton from 5.45pm.
Neil Phillips, of Telford Business Club said they were hoping members would bring visitors along to the meeting as the club had attracted such a special speaker.
“To have Ainsley Bennett give up his time to talk to Telford Business Club is fantastic – especially at such a key time with the Olympic Games in London.
“The evening is open to all members of the business community so please book your place early as we are expecting it to be a busy night,” he said.
The club meets once a month at The Shropshire and includes a guest speaker and a two-course meal and costs £10 for visitors.
Mr Bennett and his team mates also took the bronze medal in the 1983 World Athletics Championships in Helsinki.
He also ran for Birchfield Harriers, the UK’s top athletics club, and he continues to play an active role in the club through his roles as trustee and chairman of finance.
Mr Phillips added: “Telford Business Club is the longest running networking club in Telford and is friendly and flexible which means you don’t have to send substitutes if you are unable to make it.
“The evening meetings are often more attractive to people with families.
“Everyone is welcome to visit at a cost of just £10 and to hear such a fantastic speaker too is excellent.”
