Brolly good show for Shrewsbury boutique
The unseasonal weather is failing to dampen the spirits of one Shropshire retailer.
Award-winning boutique Wysteria Lane, of Dogpole, Shrewsbury, is currently selling umbrellas at a rate of around 100 a week, with customers flocking to buy brollies to help them keep dry in style.
Shop owner Michelle Jamie commented: "We all hate the rain but its one benefit is that our umbrellas are booming, with around 100 a week being sold. We are continually ordering more so that we have plenty in stock as the rain just seems to keep on coming. The brollies are so pretty that at least if the sun ever does come out ladies can use them as parasols!"
