Shropshire law firm hits target with clay pigeon shoot
A local solicitors has swapped the courtroom for the countryside by staging its own clay pigeon shoot with clients and colleagues.

Shropshire-based PCB Solicitors hosted its sixth annual Clay Pigeon Shoot at the West Midlands Shooting Ground in Hodnett, which saw nearly 50 guests from local estate agents, accountancy firms, and other members of the county’s business community come together for an afternoon on the shooting range. The PCB staff and guests were taken round the grounds with a shooting instructor, and then treated to a meal, where trophies were presented to the ‘top guns’ during the day’s events.
Ben Winson of Strutt and Parker won the Men’s Trophy, and though Judy Bourne of Shrewsbury estate agent Monks had the ladies’ trophy well within her sights, the upshot of the day was a shared win with Christine Harris of Harwoods in Broseley.
Julie Tipton, Marketing Assistant of PCB Solicitors, said: “We all had a wonderful time at the shoot, which is fast becoming a not-to-be-missed event in all our calendars. It’s a great way to bring our clients, colleagues, and the wider business community together in an upbeat, informal setting, although there’s still that element of friendly competition once everyone gets out on to the shooting range.
“Congratulations to Ben, Judy, and Christine for their success – but be warned, some of our team have already pledged to step up the practice before next year’s event in a bid to bring the trophies home!”
