Greenoak Building and Renovation drive away with top prize
A Shropshire building company has driven away with the top prize in a national competition.
Greenoak Building and Renovation, based in Baschurch, took part a free draw at Hinds Buildbase in Longdon Road, Shrewsbury, and scooped a new £12,000 van when their entry was first out of the hat.
The competition was organised by roof window manufacturer Fackro GB and was promoted throughout the country on national radio and tv.
Andy Brooker, who runs Greenoak with fellow director Tim Jones, said: “This is a fantastic surprise to win the Vauxhall van. We entered the competition when we bought a roof window for our latest barn conversion scheme in Norbury but did not expect to hear anything - it’s a real bonus.
“We carry out a range of projects all over the county, from extensions and new builds to painstaking renovations of historic buildings and listed properties and the new van will be a useful addition to our fleet of vehicles.”
Mark Purslow, assistant manager of Hinds Buildbase added, “It was good to see a local company winning this high profile competition. We have a good relationship with Greenoak and are delighted to supply them with high specification materials for their construction schemes, which are carried out with skill and enthusiasm.”
