Telford fitness studio owners celebrate three year anniversary
The owners of a Telford fitness studio are celebrating their three year anniversary this month.
Gareth Connell and Maz Bedson, who run Purity Health and Fitness in Wellington, said they had helped changed many people’s lives since opening their doors to their one-to-one studio.
The qualified personal trainers said their own unique stories always helped to spur people on to reach their goals.
Maz turned to Gareth for help after gaining weight following a knee operation. She lost five stone whilst undergoing personal training with Gareth and then went on to train and qualify as a personal trainer.
But the pair have not been celebrating the three year anniversary with a rest, but have instead re-decorated the studio at Wrekin Professional Centre on Holyhead Road.
Gareth, 27, launched the company after qualifying with the European Institute of Fitness, a training company that now reside at the nationally renowned Lilleshall National Sports Centre.
“I have worked with many talented athletes in my career history but especially during the last three years and I know how important fitness and staying healthy is for them.
“They may need one-to-one personal training which is tailor made to their sport and their needs to improve a specific weakness but it may be a sports massage which is needed to help recovery from an injury,” Gareth said.
“The most important thing about reaching the three year anniversary of the business is the number of people I know I have helped and also that I have enjoyed every single second of it.”
Maz added: “Gareth helped changed my future and now I am doing the same for other men and women.
“It is amazing how fitness can change someone’s life in so many ways. I love the fact we see so many people who would never walk into a conventional gym. Our clients feel so much more comfortable knowing they can train with us without having lots of people watching and it doesn’t take long to get them feeling more confident in what they are doing.
“I am looking forward to the next three years working with Gareth as we make such a good team.”
