Little Pixies Nursery celebrates first birthday
A local day care nursery this week celebrated its first birthday which has already seen it achieve significant growth and success.
Little Pixies Nursery, based in Kinton near Nesscliffe, has marked a hugely successful 12 months which has seen the brainchild of two local mums flourish despite the tough economic conditions, with the arrival of children from across all age ranges and an expanding team of qualified staff.
Sarah Felkin and Debra Lovell launched the business last September and have thrown all their passion and dedication into providing a nurturing environment that encourages children to explore new experiences and to develop as self-confident individuals. This ethos has seen many introductions to the nursery over the past months, including a new chicken house and an already thriving vegetable patch, which is proving a real hit with the youngsters.
Sarah Felkin, Co-Owner of Little Pixies: “We are so proud to be celebrating our first birthday and would like to thank everyone involved who has helped us reach this momentous milestone. So much hard work has gone into starting Little Pixies, and it is so exciting to see our initial idea blossom into a successful business.
“As Debra and I are both mums ourselves, we’ve put all our own personal experiences into developing the nursery, and have come up with what we think is the perfect combination of the individuality of a child-minder with the structure of a nursery - a real ‘home from home’.”
Debra Lovell added: “I believe Little Pixies has become such a success because parents can identify with our ethos, which assures them that their little ones are in the safest of hands, cared for by passionate and enthusiastic staff. Sarah and I are both looking forward to welcoming more children over the coming months and in celebrating many more birthdays to come.”
Parents interested in enrolling their children into Little Pixies Nursery can attend a dedicated open morning on 22nd September between 10am and 12.30pm. The event will give parents the opportunity to explore the nursery’s Ofsted-approved site including three playrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen, large outdoor play area, and vegetable garden, as well as meet the dedicated team.
