Shropshire business consultant hits extreme heights for charity
A local business consultant has taken the plunge for a children’s charity by abseiling down a 13-storey building in London.

Alan Adams, Founder and Director of Shropshire-based Horizons Consultants abseiled down Merrit House in London and raised over £1,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation founded in 1980 to grant magical wishes for young children and adults who are fighting life-threatening conditions.
“I was thrilled to be offered the chance to get involved and to raise money for such a worthwhile charity. As a father myself I’m staggered by the bravery of some of the youngsters the charity supports, and in many cases the ‘wish’ they’re granted by the Foundation is the one positive experience in a daily routine of hospitals and worry.”
“I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who sponsored me – and if anyone would like to make a final donation to the charity my Just Giving page will remain active for the next few weeks www.justgiving.com/Alan-Adams. Huge thanks also need to go to the Utility Warehouse Discount Club who organised the event, and who helped me reach such a mammoth sum by match funding a number of my donations.”
“I’m a Lead Trainer with the company and run this role alongside my day job as a business coach and mentor, and as someone who often gives talks and seminars on the power of goal setting, I felt it was imperative that I did something to help some really brave youngsters achieve theirs” Alan concluded.
