Shropshire Chamber celebrates event milestone
The Shropshire Chamber of Commerce is celebrating staging its thousandth networking event by hosting a special breakfast meeting next week.

The celebratory event will be held between 7.45am and 10am on Tuesday 18th September at the Albrighton Hall Hotel and Spa in Shrewsbury, and will provide Members and non-Members with the opportunity to meet both new and existing business associates, as well as hear two presentations from guest speakers Mark Pembleton, Service Manager for Business and Enterprise at Shropshire Council, and Paul Brennan of Adastra Associates.
The first presentation of the morning will be hosted by Mark Pembleton, who will be providing a brief update regarding Shropshire Council and Marches LEP, while Paul Brennan will focus on networking as a business tool, outlining its benefits and explaining how it can help a business become more profitable.
The Chamber’s regular networking clubs began in Telford in the summer of 2000, and due to their phenomenal success, subsequent meetings were launched in Shrewsbury in January 2001 and in Oswestry the following year. Around 65 Members currently attend the fortnightly Telford events, with the Shrewsbury and Oswestry clubs welcoming around 60 and 30 Members respectively.
Teresa Rowe, Events Manager at Shropshire Chamber of Commerce, said: “We are delighted to be celebrating our thousandth networking event, and would like to thank our Members for their continuing support, it is fantastic that our network clubs have continued to grow even throughout challenging economic times. “
“In tribute to our successes over the past decade we are inviting both Chamber Members and non-Members to our celebratory breakfast, with just a small charge of £12 to cover refreshments, so to reserve a space, please get in touch on 01952 208200 or email enquiries@shropshire-chamber.co.uk or book online at www.shropshire-chamber.co.uk.”
