77 and not out for Shropshire glazing expert Nick
At 77 years old and still going strong, it’s clear to see that glazing expert Nick Heyhoe has no sign of retiring.

In fact Nick Hayhoe, of Shrewsbury, goes glassy eyed when reflecting on his 50th anniversary in the window trade and is looking forward to more years in full time employment.
Nick, from Copthorne, works for specialist glazing company Heritage Glass at Monkmoor, where his boss David Randall values him as a key member of the firm’s team.
“Nick has a vast experience in replacement doors and windows, together with conservatories and roofline services – he is a classic example of utilising older people’s knowledge and experience, no matter what their age. He may not even use a mobile phone or computer but is a vital part of our team of estimators,” David commented.
Nick added: “I started at my first glazing firm in 1962 and although I officially ‘retired’ at the age of 65 I was lucky enough to move to Heritage Glass on a part-time basis as I knew I would be totally bored. This job has gradually turned into full time work and I am loving every minute of it.
“As the company is expanding I have no plans to retire and enjoy dealing with customers throughout Shropshire and Wales. Fortunately for 77 years of age I am still in good health and have lots of flexibility here as long as the work gets done.
Nick’s sister is England cricket legend Dame Rachael Heyhoe-Flint but Nick’s only ‘sporting activities’ include playing dominoes for the Rock & Fountain pub in Castle Foregate and the odd flutter on the horses.
