Linder Myers holds employment seminar for GP practices
Shropshire law firm Linder Myers will be hosting an employment seminar on 1st October in Shrewsbury advising GPs on recent changes in case law and the impact this will have on practices.

The seminar, being held at Caradoc Medical Services, will include advice on how to manage absence and attendance, recent case law regarding sickness during annual leave and forthcoming changes in employment legislation.
Leading the sessions Joanne White, employment specialist at Linder Myers commented: “GPs are under increasing pressure with health sector reforms and many practices run with part-time and temporary employees. The informative seminars will update GPs on the changes relevant to them and advise on their rights and obligations as employers and how they best manage their practices in compliance with employment law.
“A key recent case law change for example, is that if an employee is sick during annual leave they are now able to claim annual leave back provided that they have medical evidence to back this up. The sessions will advise GPs on how to manage such scenarios and ensure employees don’t abuse their new rights.”
