Celebrations for Shropshire independent travel agency
One of Shropshire’s leading travel agents celebrated its 20th anniversary in business and the 10th anniversary of its current offices by hosting an in-store reception for customers past and present.
Peakes Travel Elite, based in Mardol, Shrewsbury, is the town’s only locally owned and family run travel agency and has gone from strength to strength, despite difficult trading times for holiday companies nationally.
Having been originally set up from home by owner Frances Peake, who still works in the agency, the business moved to The Darwin Centre in Shrewsbury and then moved ten years ago to Mardol after taking over the former Ron Morgan Travel.
Frances Peake commented: “People are becoming a lot more discerning regarding their holidays so it is important that we adapt and that the travel suggestions we recommend are suitably tailored to their needs and provide good value for money, and we are now looking forward to our next 20 years in business.”
Manager, Claire Moore added: “An example of our customer satisfaction is the fact that we have a 70% turnover of repeat clients, which we believe is true testimony to the personal and dedicated service that we provide and everybody seemed to enjoy the special anniversary cake and sparkling wine, served throughout the morning.”
