A celebration evening is planned at an award-winning Shropshire shop next week.

Shrewsbury shop Write Here to hold celebration evening

The event, on October 12, is to be hosted by Write Here in Shrewsbury’s High Street, an independent retailer which specialises in pens, cards, toys, games and stationery.

The shop is holding a pen evening to mark the launch of a completely revised website and a new corporate image.

Proprietor John Hall explained that after eight successful years in business, Write Here had commissioned a new branding from Shrewsbury design agency Wildfire.

“We have changed the appearance of our website and our logo to reflect increased customer interest in our pens.

“The shop is becoming known as a pen specialist, with sales in this sector increasing year on year - especially fountain pens.

“I think it is something to do with the personal nature of handwriting and the character a fountain pen adds to your writing. Despite the rapid rise in use of emails and texting, good quality pens are still very popular.

“We've gradually increased our range and we offer a unique guarantee that we'll sort out any problems customers might have with their pens now or in the future.

“People come from throughout the Midlands and Wales to buy from us in Shrewsbury – and from all over the world thanks to our website,” John said.

A large range of pens will be on display at the evening, which starts at 6pm and includes refreshments.
