Shropshire lawyer laps the loch for charity
A Legal Executive at a local law firm has accomplished a challenge of a lifetime after completing a marathon in the beautiful Scottish Highlands in aid of two worthwhile causes.

David Adams, a Legal Executive at PCB Solicitors, undertook the 26.2 mile Loch Ness Marathon last month (30th September) in great time, passing the finishing line in just over four hours. By successfully completing the challenge, David has raised more than £270 so far, which will be split between Severn Hospice, and the campaign to fund baby heart monitors at Princess Royal Hospital, in Telford. The marathon saw David run the length of the world famous Loch Ness before finishing at Bught Park in Inverness, despite aggravating a leg injury at the 16 mile stage.
“As I have already completed a few half marathons, taking on a full marathon seemed a natural step to take,” 25-year-old David Adams explained. I chose the Loch Ness Marathon as although I had never been to Scotland, I thought it would be a picturesque way to spend four hours, whilst raising money for two very worthwhile causes.
“The marathon itself was fantastic - there was a lot of camaraderie between the runners and the crowd which made for a great atmosphere, and definitely spurred me on through the last couple of miles, and although it was an amazing experience, I’m not sure it is one I wish to repeat! I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who sponsored me, including a number of my colleagues at PCB Solicitors, and if anyone would like to make a final donation to Severn Hospice, my Just Giving page: www.justgiving.com/therunninglawyer will remain active for the next few weeks.”
