Shrewsbury accountants welcome new staff members
A Shrewsbury firm of accountants is continuing to go from strength to strength after the appointment of three new members of staff.

DJH Accountants has welcomed Connor Holdcroft and Ben Parry as Account Juniors, as well as recruiting Kirsty Gater as an Office Administrator.
Eighteen-year-old Connor Holdcroft joins the team as a trainee accountant after finishing his studies at Tunstall Neighbourhood College, Stoke on Trent, where he studied Sociology, Physical Education, and Business Studies. Connor will combine his day job with working towards an AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) Accounting Qualification, an internationally recognised vocational diploma that opens the doors for him to progress towards becoming a Chartered Accountant.
Seventeen-year-old Ben Parry joins DJH Accountants straight from Wolstanton High School after attaining his GCSEs, and like Connor, is also working towards an AAT Accounting Qualification. In their new roles, Connor and Ben will be working closely to support the firm’s accounts team, as well as taking on bookkeeping and account preparation roles. Kirsty Gater has also joined the firm as Office Administrator, following a four year spell working in the banking industry with Santander. Kirsty will be responsible for responding to letters of engagement, consolidating paperwork and other office-based tasks.
Sharon Morris, Business Service Manager at DJH Accountants, Said: “We are delighted to welcome Kirsty, Connor, and Ben to the team here, and look forward to seeing them prosper in their new roles. We are committed to supporting the local community by providing jobs, especially during a period when youth unemployment is at an all-time high. The AAT Accounting Qualification Connor and Ben are working towards is equivalent to a degree, and will provide them with a great foundation for a successful career.”
Connor Holdcroft said: “I am thoroughly enjoying my new role at DJH Accountants, and the team has all been extremely welcoming. A career in accountancy has been my life-long dream, so I’m thrilled I have been given the opportunity to undertake work-based training, and work towards a formal qualification without the need to enrol in a three year course at university.”
