Shropshire law firm Linder Myers has created a new business development role following its recent merger with Turnbull Garrard and in anticipation of further expansion in the region.

Linder Myers builds on client focus with creation of new role

Bill Jarvis will take up the new post following his previous role as regional managing partner at Linder Myers in Shropshire with a new remit of client liaison and key account management.

Commenting on his new position Bill Jarvis said: “Linder Myers has enjoyed significant growth in recent years, most notably our mergers with Scott Lister & Co in 2008, Moss and Poulson in 2009 and recently with Turnbull Garrard. I am pleased that we can continue to broaden our services to local clients and businesses and I am extremely excited by my new role which opens up huge new opportunities for the firm with an increased focus on client liaison.

“We have a close knit community in Shrewsbury and the key to our success has been our approach to clients and our response to their needs. Our belief is that a client is for life and we endeavour to continue adding to our range of services to build on the trust that our team has established with our local client base.”

"The array of legal talent we now have in Shropshire as well as the invaluable and unique support from a tremendously successful head office in Manchester puts Linder Myers in an enviable position.

“The operation has expanded significantly in Shropshire in the last 4 years both by mergers and acquisitions and by ambitious recruitment and it has become clear that we needed both a regional partner to dedicate himself to business development and a partner to undertake the extremely taxing role of management".

Richard Ashton, partner in Linder Myers trusts & estates team, takes on the new position of regional managing partner. Richard Ashton said: “Bill has an enviable reputation and strong relationships with our clients so the creation of this role is a natural next step for him and I very much look forward to the new challenge of following in his steps in leading the office.

“Our clients are very much at the heart of everything we do. I joined Linder Myers as part of the merger with Moss & Lister in 2009 and have been heartened by the positive response from our clients to both this and the recent merger with Turnbull Garrard. We have built a strong reputation in the area as trusted advisors and we have the ability to provide legal services to meet clients’ needs throughout their lives. My initial priority will be to ensure the smooth integration of our new colleagues as we base ourselves out of one location.

“We have achievable aspirations to continue growing the team and have the benefit of a network of both national and international colleagues to help better serve the needs of our local community with the core of our values being to deliver a quality, personal service.”
