Shropshire valeting company cleans up with £150,000 investment
Mango Valeting, based just outside Shrewsbury, is a mobile valeting company in demand, having seen a staff expansion of 500% and a huge investment of more than £150,000 in just its first 18 months.

The family company, situated alongside award-winning JMH Cars Limited in Shawbury, was established in March 2011 after local people saw the team at JMH cleaning vehicles for customers and asked for the service themselves.
Nick Collins, 34, who has more than 15 years experience in the motor industry, including 12 years in the valet trade, started out as manager of the new venture and within just 18 months there are now six local members of staff members working for Mango including sales and marketing manager Henry Gregory, who is charge of all the contracts and bookings.
Colin Evans, 41, is the newest recruit and joined the Mango team this summer. He now works as a full time fully trained valeting technician.
As well as new staff and materials, the company investment also includes two £30,000 self-sufficient Citroen Vans which carry their own electric and water sources and are more environmentally friendly than running off traditional power sources. They also have wet weather awnings so the team are able to valet vehicles in all weathers the company use green products and offer paintless dent removal.
The company operates an online booking system and mobile debit/credit card machines are carried on the vans to make transactions as fuss free as possible. A number of big contracts for car dealerships and corporate clients, both locally and nationally have been secured by the growing firm.
Director of Mango Valeting, Jason Heath, said: “The company started through demand from a satisfied customer base but I am delighted with how quickly Mango has grown as a company in its own right
“We are now being asked to travel not only county wide, but we have had inquiries from as far afield as Doncaster. We were asked to valet a horse box for the 2012 Olympics and we even went down to London to valet actress Fay Ripley’s car.
“We don’t just clean cars, but any vehicle from motorbikes and caravans to tractors and articulated lorries. We actually won ‘best in show’ for the work we had done on a lorry at Oswestry Truck Show in May.
“We put as much effort in to every vehicle whether it’s a run around or £270,000 worth of Bentley and we have even cleaned vehicles which would have been written off by insurance companies. We have a great reputation as a very trustworthy, hardworking business which puts our valued customers first by offering a quality service.
“The business has grown rapidly through word of mouth and we hope it continues to grow in the future. I am proud to be employing local people and serving the county.”
