Shropshire Chamber event to provide vital export advice
Shropshire Chamber of Commerce is inviting companies from across the county to secure a spot at an essential event that aims to help businesses successfully expand into international markets.

The free event, called ‘Exporting for Growth’ will be held on Friday 30th November at The Shirehall in Shrewsbury, from 8:30am until 2.00pm, and offers visitors the chance to learn various techniques and experiences from some of the best experts in the exporting industry, such as Matthew Smith, Director General of The Middle East Association, and Paul Eadie, Latin America Market Advisor for Brazil.
Delegates at the event will also be able to access information on export finance and learn how to internationalise their business’s website to ensure their services and goods are easily accessible to countries outside of the UK. In addition to Matthew Smith and Paul Eadie, the event will also have presentations from Shropshire firms already successfully exporting such as James Stansfield of Filtermist, Steve Westwood of Discovery Foils, and Gary Mason of Tension Control Bolts.
Teresa Rowe, Events Manager at Shropshire Chamber of Commerce, said: “The event is set to be a fantastic day, and I would urge any company across the county looking to grow their business internationally to come along and obtain an invaluable insight into just how it’s done.
“As MP for Ludlow Phillip Dunne said at one of our previous export expos, if a business can sell in the UK, then it can sell overseas too. For further information, or to register for the event, please visit www.shropshire-chamber.co.uk or call 01952 208218.”
The event is part of a national campaign set up by the Government last year to increase the number of UK companies that export their goods and services by encouraging collaborative working between the business community, and to persuade influential business advisers from all areas of industry to offer their support.
