Shropshire accountancy firm staff honoured for long service

The stalwarts from Dyke Yaxley Chartered Accountants, in Shrewsbury, were honoured at a special ceremony in front of the firm’s entire staff.

Managing director, Laurie Riley, said: “We were very proud to be able to recognise individual members of our team who have given such dedicated and loyal service to our company and our clients.

“It’s incredible to think that these individuals have given their entire careers to Dyke Yaxley and we’re indebted to them for the many years of hard work and professionalism they have committed to our firm.”

Employees recognised at the ceremony, which was held as part of Dyke Yaxley’s annual staff conference at The Buttermarket, in Shrewsbury, were celebrating 25, 30 and even 40 years’ service.

Mike Russell has completed four decades with Dyke Yaxley and received particular praise on the day.

“Mike’s expert knowledge and experience has proved invaluable over the years, and his willingness to share his expertise with other members of the practice has meant he’s made a real difference,” said Laurie.

“We’re honoured that he has given such outstanding service to our company and our clients have benefited greatly from the commitment he has put in.”

Also receiving awards at the event were:
25 year awards: Rosie Armstrong, Adrian Gwilliam, Lynda Lee, Andrew Mitchell and Carol Stanley
30 year awards: Pat Evans, Janet Griffiths, Helen Ridge and Jackie Young
